Carve Out Some Halloween Fun!!!!!

Hello everyone: We are half way into September and Autumn is definitely in the air.  I'm loving this beautiful "sweater weather", the trees are starting to get their amazing Fall colors and soon, Halloween will be here so, I made this card to add to my stash to send out to family and friends.
I will link this card to a few challenges at the end of this post.

This fabulous image is from a Power Poppy set called Feeling Fall. I stamped it onto a panel of Strathmore water color paper with Versafine black onix ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder, then I colored it with my Sakura Koi water colors.
I made a mask of the top pumpkins to sponge some Stampin' Up! "Hello Honey" ink for the moon and then, a mask of the moon to sponge some Tim Holtz "Broken China" for the sky after I framed the image with painter's tape.
For the floor, I sponged a bit of SU "Baked Brown Sugar", the sentiment is from the set and it's also heat embossed with Versafine black onix ink.

Here is a picture of the finished inside of my card.

Both the sentiment and the pumpkin are from a retired Flourishes set called "Witching You a Happy Halloween"

I stamped this images with Stazon black ink onto a folded panel of Strathmore mixed media paper and colored them with SU markers and my Wink of Stella.
I stamped the owl onto a piece of scrap paper to make a mask so I can sponge a bit of blue for the sky with Tumbled Glass distress ink. The sentiment is from an old Flourishes set.

Smells like Christmas.....

Hello everyone: This week at SHOPPING OUR STASH, we have a new challenge for you to have fun with.  We want to see you EMBOSS!! Heat embossing or dry embossing or both, why not, eh?
Here is my card to inspire you to join my teammates and me in our gallery.

I chose to do both techniques on this card. First I gold heat emboss this beautiful image from a Power Poppy set called Spice it Up, I colored the image with SU markers and my Wink of Stella.
The sentiment is from the set and the dry embossed panel is from The Paper Studio.
The sentiment is from my little box where I put sentiments that I end up not using, it's also gold embossed. Ribbon from my stash.

Here is a picture of the finished inside of my card.

The sentiment is from the same set, the little Mug of Joy from Power Poppy's Merry Littles and the garland on top from a retired SU set called "Bordering Blooms"

Retro Rubber Cup of Love.....

Image may contain: text

Hello everyone: The theme for the next RETRO RUBBER challenge is the much loved ANYTHING GOES, this gives you the freedom to choose whatever style, colors, subject, celebration, season of the year.....you get the message so, come and join us in the gallery, will you?
Here is my card that I hope inspires you to play along.

This is one of my most favorite stamp sets from Stampin' Up! called "Morning Cup". It came out in the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog, I absolutely love this sweet images.
I made a (kind of) CAS card, just stamping the tea pot, mug and tea bag onto a panel of water color paper and coloring them with Sakura Koi water colors.  The teeny, tiny hearts pouring out of the tea pot are made with an equally old SU punch called "Pinking Hearts", it's a corner punch but I mostly use it for the perfect little hearts it punches.
I made some score lines on the top and side of the panel, hope you can see them.

Here is a picture of the finished inside of my card.

The sentiment is from another retired SU set called "Whimsical Words" that came out on the 2010 Sale-a-bration catalog.  Love the font on all of this sentiments.

Hope you decide to come and join us in the RETRO RUBBER gallery.
Please read our rules, they are few but important, most of all, have fun.

Purple Onion Christmas.....

Hello everyone: I just love little critter images and Purple Onion has some of the cutest, sweetest around. Easy to color and very economical since they come unmounted, which is just what I like.
Here is a card I made with a couple of this images, doing a bit of masking along the way, I will enter this card onto a few challenges at the end of this post.

Stamped this images onto Strathmore mixed media paper with Stazon black ink and colored them with SU markers. I added silver gel pen to the star and garland as well as the ribbon on the gift box.
I added a strip of silver glimmer paper to the side for added sparkle.
The sentiment is from a Power Poppy set called Merry Littles, this set is packed with adorable images and sweet sentiments.

Sending Love.....

Hello everyone: We have come to the halfway point on THE FLOWER CHALLENGE #12, the always fun Tic, Tac, Toe.
Here is my card that hopefully will inspire you to come and play with us.

This time I chose the diagonal EMBOSSING, WATERCOLOR AND BLUE.
I used a Paper Studio embossing folder for my background panel, which I stamped with a very old script stamp, the Hydrangea is from a retired Flourishes set that has the same name.  I stamped it with Versafine black ink and clear heat embossed it then, colored it with Sakura Koi water colors. I added a bit of Wink of Stella to the flowers, hope you can see it, because it's so hard to photograph.
I added a bit of bling with a few Rhine Stones.
