Riding Pretty.....

Hello everyone: Well, finally today, after days and days of gray skies, cold temperatures, fierce winds and rain, the sun is shining bright outside, oh!!! it looks so beautiful outside my craft room windows, I have the drapes open and the light is inundating every corner of this room, which makes me so very happy.
It's still a bit chilly for a bike ride, only 38 degrees but non the less, it's a beautiful day.  I would love to go for a bike ride but I'm not to fond of freezing to death so instead, I made this card, wishing and hoping soon I it will be warm enough to go for a spin.  I will enter a few challenges at the end of this post.

This image is from Impression Obsession and the set is called "Riding Pretty". It comes with other images and sentiments, I picked the roses for the basket and the presents to stand on the bike rack.
I stamped all of this images onto Strathmore mixed media paper with Stazon black ink and colored them with SU markers and Prismacolor pencils. The flowers and gift stack were then fussy cut and placed on the bike with foam dimensionals.
The pattern paper is from Lili of the Valley (discontinued), the ribbon from my stash.  The little sentiment up there in the corner is from a Power Poppy set called Go Wild, I stamped it vertically on that little tag using the MISTI.

Alleluia.....

Hello dear blogging friends: Easter is fast approaching so I pulled out an old stamp that I haven't used in a long time.  It's simple but beautiful, I will link this card to a few challenges at the end of this post, here is my card.

This stamp is from Stampabilities and it's called "Resurrection Cross", I think it's discontinued.
I stamped it with Stazon black ink onto a panel of Strathmore mixed media paper that I die cut with the Wonky Stitched dies and colored it with SU markers and an aqua painter, the background is sponged with Hello Honey and Baked Brown Sugar. The sentiment is from an old Flourishes set called "He Is Risen". Didn't put any embellishments on this card, I think it doesn't need any.

Pretty in Blue.....

Hello everyone: This month, at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE, we have a sketch challenge for you to play with so, come and join my teammates and me in the gallery.
Here it's the sketch and the card I made with it, hope it will inspire you to play along.

This image is from a Power Poppy set called Potted Primroses, the sentiment is from the set too.
I Google'd this pretty flowers to see what colors they come in and I was amazed at the huge array of shades and variations so, I picked the blue ones for my card.
I stamped them onto a die cut piece of Strathmore mixed media paper with Stazon black ink and colored them with SU markers, an aqua painter and Prismacolor pencils.
Now, about that beautiful green/silver paper.....I save every single piece of pattern paper Marcella Hawley, the owner of Power Poppy, wraps my purchased stamp sets with, I used a piece of one of this papers for my card,  she also always writes little personal notes for us, I've also saved them all.

Here is a picture of the finished inside of my card.

The sentiment is from an old Flourishes set called "Sweet Peas", the potted flower from Power Poppy's "Potted Primroses".
I hope you get inspired by the sketch and my card, for more inspiration, hop over THE FLOWER CHALLENGE blog and check out my teammates amazing creations, don't forget to leave them some comment love.

Braided Ribbon for Baby.....

Hello dear blog friends: I've been absent for a while due to having both hubby and grandchildren on Spring Break, fun but at the same time, hectic. From taking them to their sports practices to picking them up, making lunch and dinner for them, etc. My MOJO was put on the shelf until I could get a bit of peace and quiet to do the other things I love.  So today, I have a card for you that hopefully will inspire you to join my teammates and me in the SHOPPING OUR STASH gallery, this week we want to see RIBBONS, LACE, CORD, TWINE, YARN.....you get the idea, right?  I was able to dig into my stash of ribbon to create this card using THIS TUTORIAL I saw on Utube.  Here is my card.

The braided ribbon technique is super easy to do, once you get your rhythm, you can finish in no time.  The bassinet image is from an old Flourishes set called "Baby Love" and the sentiment is from another Flourishes set called "Hello Baby", stamped with Stazon black ink onto water color paper and colored with SU markers, an aqua painter and Prismacolor pencils. I fussy cut it and taped it onto a piece of vellum so the pretty design of the Lili of the Valley pattern paper (sadly discontinued) wouldn't be covered.

Here is a picture of the finished inside of my card.

Both sentiment and baby rattle are from the same sets.
I hope you give the SHOPPING OUR STASH challenge a try, please stop by my teammates blogs to see their beautiful creations and leave them some comment love.
